Sometimes I get asked questions by people from the international comics community who want to know about the state of British comics and what the scene is like over here. Basically : where's it at in the UK? Comica? Caption? London Underground Comix? The Alternative Comics Expo? In answer, I direct their attention to the cartoon on the notice board outside the Albion Inn pub in Brighton. That's what's at the heart of British comics.
